What is TPA?
The TPA exam in the context of the Maharashtra Directorate of Town Planning (DTP) is a recruitment test for the post of Town Planning Assistant (Rachana Sahayak). It is a competitive examination testing technical civil engineering knowledge and non-technical aptitude to fill Group B posts.
Educational Qualifications
For the DTP Maharashtra Town Planning Assistant (Rachna Sahayak) exam, candidates must possess a
- Degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering, Civil and Rural Engineering, Architecture, or Construction Technology from a recognized institution.
- The age limit is typically 18 to 38 years, with relaxation for reserved categories.

Age Limit
- The minimum age of the candidate applying for the said post should be 18 years and not more than 38 years as on the last date of application. (For Backward Classes / Sportspersons / Economically Weaker Sections / Socially and Educationally Backward Classes, the age limit will be relaxed by 05 years.) Also, for Divyang and orphan candidates, the maximum age limit will be relaxed up to 45 years.
- The maximum age relaxation for Backward Classes, Divyang and Sportspersons will be a single relaxation, whichever is higher
