MPSC : Maharashtra Public Service Commission

The Maharashtra Public Service Commission (MPSC) is a body created by the Constitution of India to select applicants for civil service jobs in the Maharashtra according to the merits of the applicants and the rules of reservation.

The Head Office of the MPSC is located at the Maharashtra State Capital Mumbai. Maharashtra Public Service Commission (MPSC) is a Constitutional Body established Under Article 315 of Constitution of India which provides a smooth and efficient functioning of the Government of Maharashtra by providing suitable candidates for various Government posts and advise them on various service matters like formulation of Recruitment Rules, advice on promotions, transfers and disciplinary actions etc.

BMC :Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation

The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC),[4] or Municipal Corporation of Greater Mumbai (MCGM) is the governing civic body of Mumbai, the capital city of Maharashtra.

The BMC is India’s richest municipal corporation.[5][6] Its annual budget exceeds that of some of India’s smaller states. Established under the Bombay Municipal Corporation Act of 1888, the BMC is responsible for the civic infrastructure and administration of the city and some suburbs.[7] The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation has been formed with the functions of improving the infrastructure of the town.

WRD : Water Resources Department

The Water Resources Department (formerly known as Irrigation Department) has a glorious history of Irrigation over last 150 years.  The state of Maharashtra come into existence in the year 1960 after bifurcation of old Bombay State into Maharashtra and Gujrat.  In the year 1960 the Public Works Department was divided into Irrigation Department and Building and Communication Department. Since 26 October 2004 Irrigation Department is known as Water Resources Department. 

PWD :Public Works Department

Public Works Department has a glorious history in the state of over 150 years. It is mainly entrusted with the construction and maintenance of roads, bridges, and government buildings. The department also acts as the technical advisor to the State Government. Initially, the works pertaining to Irrigation, Roads, and Bridges as well as constructions cum maintenance of Public Buildings were entrusted to this department.

UPSC ESE : Engineering Services Examination

The Engineering Services Examination (ESE) is an annual combined standardized exam conducted by the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) to recruit officers to various engineering services under the Government of India. It is held in four categories: Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, and Electronics & Telecommunication. The exam has three stages comprising objective, subjective and personality tests. The various services are often informally known as Indian Engineering Services (IES).

SSC JE :Staff Selection Commission (SSC)

The SSC JE exam is one of the most challenging yet opportunity-creating government exams in India. The exam-conducting committee is the Staff Selection Commission (SSC).

The engineering branches that are eligible for the SSC Exam include Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, and Electrical Engineering. Therefore, engineers belonging to these engineering disciplines can utilize the opportunities that this particular exam provides to deserving candidates.

WCD : Water Conservation Department

The Government of Maharashtra established the Department of Water Conservation on June 5, 1992 in order to develop the economic development of the rural areas of the state based on people’s cooperation and also based on natural resources. This department is entrusted with the responsibility of coordinating important central and state sponsored schemes like water conservation, soil conservation, integrated watershed development, minor irrigation, waste land development. Apart from this, through this department, the central government sponsored schemes such as Pradhan Mantri Krishi Irrigation Scheme – Watershed Development Component, as well as important state government sponsored schemes such as Adarsh ​​Gaon Yojana are managed and implemented.

CIDCO : City and Industrial Development Corporation

CIDCO is an acronym of the City and Industrial Development Corporation of Maharashtra Limited (CIDCO). Completely owned by the State Government incorporated as a company on 17th march 1970 it is a public sector undertaking of the Government. CIDCO is notified by the State Government as the New Town Development Authority (NTDA). The Government later widened the scope of CIDCO’s activities delegating the responsibility as the Special Development Authority (SPA). Today CIDCO has earned a reputation as the premier town planning and development agency in the country.
