The Junior Engineer (JE) position within the Water Resources Department (WRD) of Maharashtra—often referred to as Jalsampada Vibhag—is a Group B (Non-Gazetted) post.

Unlike the Assistant Engineer (AE) posts which are conducted through the MPSC Engineering Services, the JE recruitment is typically handled by the WRD itself as a Direct Recruitment (Saralseva), often using an online IBPS or TCS-based exam pattern.
